Modern and comfortable, all DELUXE rooms have a large sleeping area with queen-size bed and a balcony with table and chairs. In the living room, comfortable and spacious, there is a sofa bed. The bathroom, spacious and functional, is equipped with: shower and hairdryer.
Starfish are undoubtedly one of the first animals we learn about a children: it's easy to meet them while swimming along the rocky coasts of the Mediterranean Sea. Starfish can look like lefeless objects, instead they are truly fscinating animals, capable of moving, eating and breeding.
Punta is located to the east, and looks to the Adriatic side. On it's top, on the remains of the ancient "Akkra Japigia", rise up the monastery of Santa Maria de Finibus Terrae, and the imposing lighthouse that rise 48,60 meters from the ground and reaches a height of 102 meters above sea level. The charming spiral staircase consists of 254 steps and that winds inside the structure, allows you to climb and reach the top of the circular terrace. From that height the gaze encounters no limits and boundaries, except those of a nature of disarming beauty. And the mindtravels to infinity.
Located from the west is the extreme southern edge of Salento and Italy. The recent renovation has given everyone a beautiful promenade with spectacular views of the sea, the cliff and the panorama of the beautiful Leuca. In addition, at the foot of Punta Ristola, there are the archeological remains of Grotta della Porcinara, an ancient, first Messapian, then Greek and Roman, place of worship. Inside there are inscriptions in different languages, wich are thanks or requests for protection to the gods. It is said that the apostle Peter arrived in this place, initiating the evangelization throughout the west. Just outside Punta Ristola, 85 meters below sea level, lies the hull of the italian oceanic submarine Pietro Micca, sunk during World War II with its crew of 58 sailors.
It is two caves, the largest is over 25 meters high and if the sea is calm, you can go for over 40 meters. Called "Grotta della Vora" for the large circular hole (vora) formed on the vault of the cave to over 60 meters high. The large light beam, in contact with clear water, creates wonderful chromatic effect. When the sea and the enviornment are not disturbed, surrounded by religious silence, is illuminated by the large dome.
